We’re delighted to announce that Coronation Street’s hunk Matt Milburn is swapping the Rovers Return for the Forum Theatre this Christmas.
Matt is currently starring in Coronation Street and has an exciting storyline which sees him and Tracy Barlow getting “very close”. Matt has featured in three leading soaps, playing Joe Spencer in Hollyoaks, Nicky Pritchard in Emmerdale and as we mentioned, is currently playing ex-footballer Tommy Orpington in Coronation Street – “a hat-trick of star roles”.
Producer Derek Cooper said “It’s great to see that Billingham can attract the best names in the business and by bringing an amazing, experienced actor like Matt to the Forum Theatre it just shows how popular our annual festive pantomimes are. Matt is an on-screen regular featuring in major storylines in the most decorated soap, so it is exciting that he has chosen to come to Billingham… It just proves that our pantos have reached another level.
Matt will be playing the role of Dandini – the male servant of the prince and he will be joined by Billingham pantomime favourites the #cracking Liam Mellor as Buttons, resident Dame Robert Squire as The Fairy Godmother and in the title role of Cinderella is Katy Allen.
